ECDIS Training

We provide training to help participants become proficient in operating Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS).
Our training is based on the IMO-approved “IMO Model Course 1.27 (Operational Use of ECDIS),” covering ECDIS functions, limitations, safety considerations, and comprehensive system knowledge.

Purpose

  • To deepen navigators’ understanding of ECDIS and develop operational proficiency

Course Content

While ECDIS functionality has advanced in recent years, its operation has become more complex, requiring greater proficiency. This training enables participants to understand both the capabilities and limitations of ECDIS, ensuring effective and appropriate use.

  • We offer a variety of class-approved ECDIS training courses using actual ECDIS equipment.
  • Our proprietary ECDIS simulator recreates congested maritime environments (such as Tokyo Bay and the Singapore Strait), allowing participants to practice ECDIS operations in realistic scenarios.
  • The simulator projects 3D visuals of landmarks, buoys, and other vessels onto large monitors, enabling effective learning through combined visual and operational experience.
  • We offer both Generic and Type Specific (TST) courses for ECDIS-equipped vessels, as well as advanced proficiency training.
